Ms. Shehane came to Prince George Healthcare after a brief hospital stay due to a recent fall that resulted in an intertrochanteric fracture of her L femur.

She admitted to the hospital to repair her fracture and had a decline in function. She began receiving skilled occupational and physical therapy to address her limitations with mobility and self-care tasks. When she began therapy, she required assistant with all self-care tasks and standing transfers.

Following extensive therapeutic education and guidance, Ms. Shehane is now able to walk with a rolling walker without assist and can perform self-care tasks with supervision. She discharged home with her family and can perform her daily activities with little assist.
