Success Story – Nov – Patrick Patterson
Mr. Patrick Patterson arrived at Prince George Health and Rehab after a fall at home resulting in a left ankle fracture. He was non- weight bearing on his left leg and debilitated due to severe COPD and oxygen dependent. Mr. Patterson did not need much motivation for therapy, stating he was eager to return home and get back on his feet literally. Since being at Prince George Healthcare Facility, he was able to improve his strength and has learned how to walk using a rolling walker while maintaining his weight bearing protocol. He was able to progress steadily with guidance and education from our facility team.
Success Story – Oct – Shawna Jones
We would like to share the success of Ms. Shawna Jones. Ms. Jones was living independently with her sister and daughter, driving, and enjoying time with her family prior to her hospitalization.
She has been receiving physical and occupational therapy for 5 weeks with great progress made and continues to be made. Ms. Jones is walking with her walker 30 feet with very little assistance and can get in and out of bed with no assistance needed.
Success Story – Sept – Alberta Gainey
We are excited to share the success of Ms. Alberta Gainey. She admitted to Prince George Healthcare Center after experiencing an unfortunate fall at the grocery store resulting in a fracture of her left leg. Ms. Gainey was living independently with her husband enjoying retirement life requiring no assistance prior to her injury. Upon admission to Prince George, Ms. Gainey was unable to bear any weight through her left leg for many weeks. After 9 weeks of extensive physical and occupational therapy Ms. Gainey can walk without the use of a device, go up/down stairs, and bath/dress hrseelf no very little assistance.
Success Story – July – Mr. Scott
Mr. Scott came to Prince George Healthcare Center after a lengthy hospital stay due to multiple lesions in the brain and respiratory failure. Upon admission Mr. Scott required extensive assistance for his daily activities. After 4 weeks of hard work and dedication, Mr. Scott was able to return home with his family with goals to return to working.
