Success Story – Oct – Shawna Jones

by | Nov 15, 2022 | blog

We would like to share the success of Ms. Shawna Jones. Ms. Jones was living independently with her sister and daughter, driving, and enjoying time with her family prior to her hospitalization.

Unfortunately, due to medical complications Ms. Jones underwent a right above knee amputation that required an extensive hospital stay due to issues that arose afterwards.

She came to Prince George Healthcare Center for rehab services to regain her strength and independence to return home and get back to her day-to-day life with her family and friends.

She has been receiving physical and occupational therapy for 5 weeks with great progress made and continues to be made. Ms. Jones is walking with her walker 30 feet with very little assistance and can get in and out of bed with no assistance needed.

Ms. Jones continues to work towards her goals to regain her independence and is eager to get back to her home very soon! Keep up the hard work Ms. Jones!
